My Review
Having read both The Interview and The House Hunt so far, I was very excited for this one.
C. M. Ewan’s books feature everyday situations that anyone can relate to… to begin with! They are always full of twists and turns and I definitely didn’t see any of these ones coming!
The book switches between being narrated by Abi, a nanny who is driving home late at night with her boyfriend Ben and then we also see the events of Saturday which lead up to Samantha, Paul and baby Lila being stranded down a small countryside road in Cornwall surrounded by an intense fog.
Abi and Ben come across Samantha’s broken down car en route and argue about whether they should stop and help….
Absolutely loved this one! The switching between narratives and the suspense of the situation made this a really enjoyable read. Thank you so much for gifting me this copy C.M. Ewan.
I read this whilst camping at Vanlove Fest which seemed the perfect place for this photo!
Update: One Wrong Turn has a new name for it’s paperback release and to match it’s US and Canadian title. The book is now titled Strangers in the Car and will be released in paperback on the 24th April 2025.
