My Review
At the end of July, I had the pleasure of attending a talk in Leeds where Alex North interviewed Steve Cavanagh about his latest release, Witness 8. You can read all about that experience here.
The talk was fantastic, and I couldn’t wait to dive into the book afterward. I bought a signed hardback copy at the event, and I also received an ARC via NetGalley, with thanks to the publishers at Headline.
Witness 8, released on the eighth month of the year as the eighth installment of the Eddie Flynn series, is a thrilling new chapter that once again proves why Steve Cavanagh is a must-read, auto-purchase author for me.
In this gripping novel, we meet Ruby, a young maid working in an exclusive Manhattan neighborhood. One evening, as she returns home from work, Ruby witnesses a murder on the very same street. To her shock, she not only recognizes the victim but also the killer. Yet, when an anonymous tip points the authorities toward someone else entirely, the mystery deepens. Why would Ruby misdirect the investigation?
Eddie Flynn and his team quickly take on the case, representing the wrongfully accused and racing against time to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, Eddie faces a personal threat – a hit has been placed on him, leading to the introduction of the enigmatic and fascinating Mr. Christmas…
Witness 8 is a fast-paced, compelling read that I would recommend without hesitation.
